My favourite picture amongst all the glory was a little line drawing of Saint Agnes with a lamb, drawn in red chalk by Guercino from around 1650. Also, the paintings of the four seasons depicted in flowers by Mario Nuzzi were truly glorious.
Otherwise the list of artists including Caravaggio, Michaelangelo, Raphael, Tiepolo, Tintaretto, Titian and
Veronese is truly awe inspiring. So if you have time before the of the month (it finishes August 31), sneak down to Melbourne and soak it all in.
