We had 4 nights in Hobart, with little day trips around the local wine (and cider!) regions, nights at exquisite restaurants and of course the requisite day at MONA. MONA was "an experience", one of those places for me where the total is much more than the sum of it's parts. I did love some of the art works, particularly the Incense Buddha and the building itself is so grand. The wine and beer tasting was well done but the highlight of the day was lunch at The Source, truly beautiful food, some of which I am trying to recreate for friends at dinner tonight.
Also two nights in beautiful Freycinet, getting up close and personal with nature and the great outdoors before heading up to Launceston, staying four nights in a beautiful cottage and indulging in more food and wine and lots more history.
So there you have it, what Travel Guides do on their holidays - I can highly recommend it.
